In the ARLENE customization process (whose base is a fake Blythe doll) many hours were invested and the following steps were carried out:
- Sanding of faceplate and backplate, removing original makeup and shine.
- Carving of the upper and lower area of the eyes, tear ducts and alien central area.
- Molding of nose, mouth, gums, teeth, tongue (can be changed position, and is also removable) and inside of the mouth.
- Makeup, and facial and body shading with quality pastels and/or watercolor pencils.
- Decorated eyelids and backplate with pastels and quality acrylic paint.
- Sealed with several layers of quality protective varnish.
- YMY22 articulated body (very similar to the Ob22 body), to provide greater body gestures to the doll.
- Addition of metallic piece (resistant and durable) in the neck, to make it more articulable.
- Realistic eyelash placement.
- Exchange of original chips for four pairs of more realistic eyes (two of them, in three dimensions), made by hand.
- Correction of eyelids and gaze (elevation of both). And sleepy eyes.
- New pull strings, uniquely decorated, with glass, ceramics and metal beads.
- Hair treatment, cutting and styling.
Arlene will be delivered with the same outfit in the photographs.
